Nordic ski & cross-country skiing in Terento – Val Pusteria

Cross-country skiing enjoyment to the nth degree in the Plan de Corones holiday region and the surrounding area

Cross-country skiing is a good sport for anyone who is seeking some peace and quiet and wishes to experience the natural beauty of South Tyrol. At Terento, you can ski down slopes of easy and medium difficulty and about 7 km in length. The slopes are free of charge and are mostly in sunny positions. Our recommendation: when getting ready for your cross country skiing holiday at Plan de Corones, make sure you pack sunglasses and sun cream!

The Plan de Corones area in South Tyrol offers more, of course, for the less inhibited on their cross-country skiing holidays. The area is a part of the Dolomiti Nordicski, one of Europe’s biggest cross-country carousel, with a total of 1,300 km of slopes.

And the most beautiful destinations are here:
  • Those who want to follow in the footsteps of their heroes in the world of biathlon can do so in the Biathlon Centre at Lake Anterselva. Do you possess strength, power, and a good sense of balance? Test yourself with a course or by taking part in one of the many non-competitive events.
  • World Cup competitions are held every year in the Nordic Arena of Dobbiaco. The FIS-approved ski slopes are open to all beginners, amateurs and cross-country skiers. Dobbiaco is also the starting point for numerous tours to Cortina, San Candido, across the border and in Val Braies.
  • If you choose to go cross-country skiing on the plateau of Prato Piazza, at 2,000 m in the heart of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, you will enjoy not only the invigorating fresh air but also a view to die for. The 6 km round circuit is suitable for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
