The Siusi Alp – a winter and summer holyday paradise.

The charming town of Terento is a perfect staring point for a day trip to southern Dolomites’ most fascinating upland: the Siusi Alp. Extending over an area of 56 square kilometres, the upland has altitudes ranging between 1680 and 2350 m. Surrounded by the towering Sciliar and Sassolungo massifs, the Siusi Alp is famous for its stunning landscape, perfect for walks and climbing excursions.
A cableway connects the village of Siusi to the upland, and from there, along a didactic path known as „Steger-Weg“, with detailed information on South Tyrol and its mountains, the visitor can reach the nearby Natural Reserve of Sciliar-Catinaccio. The remains of the Salegg and Hauenstein castles in the woods around Siusi are also definitely worth a visit. And for the winter, the Siusi Alp offers 60 km of breathtaking ski tracks both for cross-country and alpine skiing!
